MBBS Transcripts / Medical Student Performance Evaluation

The Transcript or Medical Student Performance Evaluation (also referred to as a ‘Dean’s Letter’) is provided by King’s College London School of Medicine at Guy’s, King’s College and St. Thomas’ Hospitals and is a certified documents that include your full name as listed on our records, date of birth, course and date of enrolment. It details the course components for each academic year and confirms the dates attended and final degree awarded.

The production of either of the above can take up to approximately 2 – 3 weeks. However, the turn over may be longer, particularly if it necessitates archive searches or in busier periods i.e. Examinations or Enrolment.

The transcript document prepared by this office do not routinely contain any grades/marks attained in any part of the programme.  A simple pass/fail statement with details of any merits or distinctions awarded following the end of year examinations are of course included.  In addition, if applicable the intercalated BSc. year, subject and degree classification are included.

The MSPE document follows the guidelines as set out by ERAS and WES and will include all that is outlined therein.

If you have been asked to submit a transcript with grades/marks this will need to be made clear with any other specifics or special instructions. You will be given the option to clarify this during the payment process.

There is a minimum charge of £15.00 applied for the production of either the Transcripts or MSPE document. Should you require both then please make a separate application and payment for each. Graduates can receive up to 5 original copies for that fee. Further copies ie 6, 7 or more will be charged at an extra £1.00 each. Work on your document will only commence when both the completed application form and payment has been received.

Please note if you require a Transcript at a later date, this will be considered as a separate application and will be charged at the above rate.
