DescriptionBritish Forum for Ethnomusicology Annual Conference: Ethnomusicology and the Present King’s College London, 9–12 April 2026 For more information about the programme, venue, and local arrangements, please visit https://bfeconference2026.wordpress.com or email bfe2026_kcl@proton.me Fee waivers and bursaries Presenters permanently and currently resident in the Global South who have already been approved by the programme committee to present online are eligible to have the fee waived. Please email Programme Chair Martin Stokes to register separately via bfe2026_kcl@proton.me. The British Forum for Ethnomusicology offers a limited number of bursaries to presenters whose economic circumstances make it difficult to afford the full fee. Delegates in such circumstances need 1) to pay the full registration fee below, then 2) apply directly to the BFE by 20th February for a bursary to subsidise their attendance; see "more info” for application instructions. The Early Bird rates are available until 8th March 2026.

If you wish to apply for a bursary, please send the following information (max. 350 words) to Professor Byron Dueck, BFE Conference Liaison byron.dueck@open.ac.uk by 20th February:
Applications must be received by 20th February. Decisions will be made by members of the BFE Committee (please do not contact the Programme or Local Arrangements Committees).
