The course aims to demonstrate how to carry out standard statistical procedures in Stata using its command language. The course is intended to provide a foundation in Stata use.
Please note that it will not teach introductory statistical concepts and please also note that most courses on specialist statistical methodologies for behavioural research will demonstrate methods in Stata and will assume Stata proficiency at the level of this course.

You may cancel a course booking at any time. The standard BHI course cancellation policy (as specified below) shall apply.
To cancel a course booking, you must let us know of your decision to cancel by emailing [email protected] . You must clearly state your intention to cancel the course. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is enough for you to send your communication concerning exercising the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
Whilst every effort is made to avoid changes to our programme, the BHI Department reserves the right to withdraw any course. If for any reason the BHI Department cancels a course, all course fees will be returned in full. We cannot however reimburse the cost of any pre-booked travel arrangements.
Health Sciences DTC Bursaries
The Health Sciences Doctoral Training Centre (HSDTC) provides a limited number of bursaries to support doctoral research students in the Health Faculties at King’s College London to attend short courses at the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics delivered at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience.
How to apply
All current doctoral research (PhD, MD(Res), DClinPsy, etc.) students in the Health Faculties at King's College London are eligible to apply for these bursaries.
You will need to apply and pay for your course first via the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics eStore page.

The earlier you apply for the bursary in advance of the deadline for your chosen B&HI course, the better your chances of having a response in time. You should ideally complete an application form 3 weeks before the last booking date. Submitting your application later will not impact your chances of being award a bursary.
