The 31st Annual Meeting of the British & Irish Chapter of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (BIC-ISMRM) will be held at Bush House, King’s College London, starting from 6pm on 2 September and finishes 5pm on 4 September 2026.  

The theme of the meeting, “Community”, reflects our commitment to bringing together students, researchers, radiographers, clinicians, and industry, from across the UK & Ireland, to share the latest developments in magnetic resonance in biomedicine, to foster collaboration, and strengthen networks. 

Conference dinner will be held on 3 September 2026 at the Great Hall, Strand campus.

The main scientific meeting will start at 6pm on 2 September 2026 and preceded by two workshops:

(1) Open Recon Workshop (1 September 2026, London Institute for Healthcare Engineering). A hands-on workshop to guide participants through practical steps in open MR reconstruction workflows, culminating in a live scanning session applying workshop results. 

(2) An all-day Educational Workshop on Quantitative Magnetic Resonance – from Fundamentals to Applications (2 September 2026, Bush House). A focused workshop introducing quantitative magnetic resonance, covering core principles, current knowledge gaps, and a biomedical application perspective.

(3) High field MRI workshop (2nd September, Bush House, 10.30am - 5.00pm). Both High Field MRI and Educational workshops will run in  parallel. While refreshment breaks and lunch will be held at similar times, workshop start times, programmes, and talk schedules will vary considerably.
