Description

AI Literacy for Law equips legal professionals with the practical skills and confidence needed to work effectively in an AI‑driven legal environment. Led by Professor Dan Hunter, Executive Dean of The Dickson Poon School of Law, the course provides a clear and accessible introduction to generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and their real‑world application in legal research, drafting, and analysis – no technical background required.

Through a fully online, self‑paced structure delivered via KEATS, learners build capability across three progressive parts: foundational AI concepts and prompting techniques, the ethical and strategic implications of AI in legal practice, and emerging issues such as agentic AI and future legal technologies. The programme blends high‑quality videos, practical examples, curated readings, and guided activities to support applied learning.

To participate, you’ll need a computer with internet access; login details for the course will be provided prior to the course start date. Applications must be submitted by the deadline, and places are confirmed once payment is received.
