Description

Please join the King’s Language Centre for its Masterclass!

Thursday 29 January 2026, 18:00-20:00.

'The Child in Spanish Cinema' masterclass invites the audience to explore Spain’s recent history through the eyes of its cinema, focusing on the figure of the child as a revealing lens into the nation’s collective memory. From depictions of childhood during the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War to contemporary portrayals in recent films, the session examines how representations of children have reflected – and at times challenged – the historical, socio-political, and cultural realities beyond the screen, offering insight into the evolution of Spanish identity over time.

The masterclass will be delivered in English.
