Description

This course addresses a fundamental issue which cuts across healthcare: how to support patients to use treatment most effectively.

The course comprises a short-online module, self-directed reflective practice and a half-day in person training session.

It provides a practical evidence-based foundation for clinicians wishing to understand, identify and address nonadherence to medications. Attendees will develop their understanding of nonadherence to treatment and the impacts on patient health and healthcare systems. They will learn about behavioural science relevant to adherence to treatment. Students will be introduced to, and practice using, tools to identify patients at risk of nonadherence. They will also develop skills in key behaviour change techniques relevant to nonadherence. Course participants will explore how these techniques could be used to address issues within their current practice.

There are no fixed entry requirements however it is expected that all participants will be qualified healthcare professionals.

Please make sure you meet the entry requirements for this course before you start your application. King’s College London reserves the right to cancel your registration on the course if you do not meet all the requirements. If your registration is cancelled, the short course administrator will be in touch to arrange a refund.
