Description

This course has been designed to provide a detailed theoretical and practical understanding of how to effectively use different qualitative methods and methodologies in the context of cross-disciplinary health research (whether that is in clinical or academic settings).

The course will cover methodological issues from research design through to publication and will provide delegates with the advanced knowledge and skills they require to successfully undertake rigorous qualitative research in whichever setting they choose. It will combine theoretical and practical elements to ensure students are equipped with both understanding and ability when designing qualitative studies and undertaking qualitative analyses.

The course will run for one whole week across five consecutive days (Monday to Friday) from 9:00am to 17:00pm (BST) each day.

Advanced Gynaecology Ultrasound July 2025

Description

​​This course is intended for existing ultrasound practitioners who would like to advance their gynaecology ultrasound skills through accessing high quality training to improve the standard of gynaecology ultrasound examinations, both nationally and internationally. 
 
Entry requirements: 
This course is suitable for health professionals with a background in ultrasound, Sonographers, Gynaecologists and Radiologists. All delegates must complete Day 1 (online) to be eligible for Day 2 practical day (in person). Numbers for the in person practical day will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants. Delegates that completed the Day 1 event in July 2024 will be given priority for Day 2 in November. 
 
Part 1 (Thursday 10th July 2025) is open to all members of the public.  
Part 2 (Thursday 17th July 2025) essential requirements include transvaginal ultrasound experience plus PgCert gynaecology ultrasound/ RCOG gynaecology and early pregnancy ultrasound training (previously known as the intermediate ultrasound in gynaecology) or equivalent.​

CMR - Theory and Practical Applications for Radiographers 2025

Description

This Cardiac MRI 2 day course aims to deliver a solid background of CMR (Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance) as a clinical application in routine clinical practice. It covers basic MRI safety/physics and focuses on the theory and practical skills involved with carrying out a simple CMR procedure as well as the more complex scans such as Perfusion imaging and Aortogram. The course also cover current topics of interest such as mapping and contrast safety, as well as less explored areas such as Congenital imaging. Attendees will benefit from sessions on tips and tricks to help improve their skills, a session on live scanning and post processing. The newly found knowledge and skills from the course can be embedded in their future practice.

There is an early bird discount of £25 made to bookings before 31 July 2025
