DescriptionThe annual Palliative Outcome Scale (POS +IPOS) Training Days will be held in HYBRID format, both in-person (at the Cicely Saunders Institute at King’s College London) and online on May 1st and 2nd, 2024. This event will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the POS family of measures, discover new developments in palliative care outcomes measurement, and collaborate with like-minded clinicians and researchers from around the world.

ContactMore InformationThe event is for professionals from around the world including nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, managers, allied professionals, commissioners and researchers with an interest in clinical application, routine use and research using the Palliative Outcome Scale (POS + IPOS) measures, and their application in various settings, patient groups, purposes, quality improvement, multimorbidity and economic evaluation. Please note that the event and all sessions will be held in English. Day 1 will cover POS + IPOS essentials in 3 sessions for those using the measures in Research, Health and Social Care. You will hear from POS and IPOS experts as well as clinicians and researchers who use the POS family of measures in their everyday work. Each session will end with Q&A. The session topics are as follows: · Session 1: History and Rationale Behind the POS Family of Measures · Session 2: The Value of the POS Family of Measures in Research · Session 3: The Value of the POS Family of Measures in Clinical Practice
Day 2 will continue with more advanced discussions about how to use and implement POS and IPOS in your work. The day will be broken into 3 sessions, including methodological sessions, and presentations by clinicians, researchers, implementation scientists, biostatisticians, and patient and public involvement (PPI) experts.
