Implementation Science Masterclass 2025

Description

The Implementation Science Masterclass will be delivered over 2 days – 2 to 3 June 2025. Please note that this is an in-person event and there will be no online participation option.

This is our 10th Implementation Science Masterclass organised by the NIHR ARC South London for health professionals, researchers, patients and service users who want to make sure health services routinely offer treatment and care that is based on the most recent research evidence. The Implementation Science Masterclass will include lectures from world-renowned experts in the field small group workshops facilitated by leading researchers, advice clinics to help you work more effectively on your own implementation projects. The Masterclass will include an advanced stream for those with more experience in the field or who have previously attended the course. In previous years Lectures have included introductions to the field of implementation science, including its history and background and advanced lectures on theories, models and frameworks and hybrid designs which measure effectiveness and implementation concurrently. Interactive workshops have included: how to implement evidence-based practices in the context of differing values from a public health perspective, implementing learning healthcare systems at scale, advanced quantitative methods for mechanism analysis in implementation science and how to publish implementation research.

An Introduction to Implementation Science - Spring 2025

An Introduction to Implementation Science - Spring 2025

Description

An introduction to Implementation Science is aimed at anyone interested in improving health services and patient/population health outcomes. It covers the core scientific principles and investigative methodologies of implementation science, including quantitative, qualitative and econometric approaches. It also has a strong theoretical underpinning, drawing upon various theories, frameworks and models that can be used in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of health interventions. Equally, it has a strong practical focus, providing students with ‘take-home’ tools, checklists and other resources that can be applied to the development of interventions in different healthcare settings.

This online module will include recorded lectures and group work sessions, with some live webinars to help support the students’ knowledge of Implementation science taught by academics from the Centre for Implementation Science at King’s College London, University of East Anglia, Kingston University and St. George’s University of London with expertise in the field.

This introductory module in implementation science will provide you with the basic knowledge required to conduct implementation research or to apply the implementation theories and frameworks to your practice.

This course will be delivered at master’s of science (MSc) level (or level 7). If you are unsure about the academic level and whether you will be able to take full advantage of the course, please contact us at [email protected]
