Description

King’s College London is hosting the Summer Workshop on Surgical, Assistive, and Interventional Engineering from 30 June to 4 July 2025. The workshop will take place in the cutting-edge Research Department of Surgical & Interventional Engineering's Laboratories  (located in St Thomas’ Hospital) and the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE).

This five-day workshop brings together PhD students, NHS professionals, academics & industry professionals to explore key developments in surgical and interventional technologies. The program offers expert-led lectures, hands-on practical sessions, and project-based learning, covering topics such as robotic surgery, AI-driven surgical planning, imaging for intervention, navigation technologies, instrumentation for precision medicine, and the opportunity to network with experts & peers.

Applicants should have a background relevant to Surgical, Assistive, and Interventional Engineering or a related field, such as Medical Imaging, Computer-Assisted Intervention, and/or Instrumentation & Robotics. While prior experience is beneficial, the program is designed to accommodate a range of expertise. Spaces are limited and are therefore subject to a brief application process. Please do not purchase a ticket until you’ve applied and received confirmation of your place & a payment link from our team.
