DescriptionThe twenty-third edition of the Academic Practice and Technology (APT2025) conference will take place on Tuesday 1st July 2025. The conference will be hosted at the Coin Street Conference Centre, Waterloo. The year’s central theme is: GenAI and beyond: inventing and re-imagining Higher Education practice Following the success of the 2024 conference, this annual conference, co-hosted by King’s, UCL, LSE and Imperial College London, will run as an ‘in-person’ event while retaining some online elements. The design of this year’s conference will maximise the benefits of face-to-face methods using high engagement and participation activities such as workshops, round tables and open space dialogue to discuss and reflect on ideas and further develop our APT community. We will invite attendees to engage with asynchronous resources and use them as a starting point for real-time activities at the live in-person event. Building on two years of focus on Generative AI in Education, we wish to continue to provide a platform to discuss and share relevant work in this space. We are focusing on 5 main sub-themes: Participants are invited to critically reflect and explore ways in which they are developing their practice using technology. Through a range of discussion and interactive formats, the event will showcase and celebrate examples of academic practice that can inspire academic and professional services staff.
